MINEBEAST HELP
Check the current requirements before you buy or install.
What you need
- A Windows PC.
- Gang Beasts from Steam.
- Minecraft Java 1.21.5 owned and installed locally.
- MelonLoader 0.7.3.
- Python 3 for local Minecraft asset extraction.
- Optional: ffmpeg for Minecraft sounds. Textures work without it.
The Windows package contains an installer and launcher. Customers do not need the .NET SDK or coding tools. The current private preview is not approved for customer release.
Current play limits
The inspected source supports local matches. The current guide covers Melee and Waves.
The download is MineBeast 0.6.6, the skin preview. Michael confirmed Windows testing of this exact package on October 18, 2026. Newer source changes are not included.
The installer has an Updates tab. It shows the package changelog, checks public release status, and opens your protected store downloads. Updates never install automatically. The public status stays unavailable for customer releases until Windows checks and release approval pass.
Download and update
- After confirmed payment, select Download MineBeast on your order page.
- Extract the ZIP, then run Start-MineBeast.cmd. Select your Gang Beasts folder and review the changelog before installation.
- For an update, use the installer Updates tab, then select Open my downloads. Your existing paid order can download the current MineBeast package.
The store download link expires after 60 seconds. Request another link if it expires. Use the same browser for your order page. If you lose access, contact support with your receipt for a one-time recovery link.
This package remains a skin preview. Future packages need separate installation and update checks.
What the download includes
MineBeast is a code-only mod. It does not include either game or packaged Minecraft textures and audio.
The mod reads files from your own local Minecraft installation.
